House tours
The staff of Pax Lodge are Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from various member countries of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). A member of staff is usually available to show visitors around Pax Lodge between the hours of 9.30 a.m. to 12 noon and 1.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. A house tour includes information about WAGGGS and the four World Centres, the World Chief Guide and the history of Pax Lodge. There will be a walk through the house, time to sign the guest book and to visit the souvenir shop; where you may purchase the Pax Lodge pin, which is only available to those who visit Pax Lodge. A tour will take approximately 30/40 minutes. There is no age limit for visitors. Large group will be split into groups of ten people. The house is wheelchair accessible and has toilet facilities for disabled visitors. Please note there is no coach parking. Hot and cold drinks are readily available in the dining room. Visitors may book lunch at Pax Lodge or bring their own packed lunch to eat in the guest kitchen or garden. If you wish to book lunch you will need to order at least two days in advance. Lunch is served at 12.30 p.m. There is no charge for a house tour, but donations for ongoing expenses or specific items of equipment are always welcome. Advanced booking is advised. Please use our Online house tours booking form service. Bookings should be made through the Pax Lodge Office. You may also request a tour by fax, telephone or post.
If you cannot wait, we invite you to our Virtual House tour.
