Join Pax Lodge and Participate in Seminar on Changing Lives through WAGGGS Global Action Themes
29 January 2010
Pax Lodge is leading a seminar and training on Changing Lives through WAGGGS Global Action Themes from March 1st until March 7th, 2010. Explore several of the Millennium Development Goals and gain an international perspective on how these issues affect individuals, communities and our world.
Learn practical ideas of activities that you can use to encourage your members to discover issues important to them and to speak out. These activities will fulfil many girl programme requirements and can be used towards earning the WAGGGS Global Action Theme (GAT) Badge.
You can attend the whole week of training or select the days that are most relevant to your needs.
Day activities are filled with exciting, interactive seminars and training to discuss topics like Global Action Themes and Advocacy, putting together practical GAT activities for all ages, Education and Gender, the Environment and more. The fun doesn’t stop there as you can take part in evening programmes led by our group of international volunteers and staff. Head to the theatre to catch a London musical or take a guided tour of London at night. Also, learn about guiding in other countries from an international night and help us celebrate the centenary.
These trainings are ideal for Senior Section/Ranger members or Leaders of Brownies, Guides or Senior Section/Rangers.
Make sure to download and complete an application form today before spaces fill up.
